by admin on Apr.20, 2012, under Uncategorized
She stormed into the finale of So You Think You Can Dance season 3. And now, Lauren Gottlieb is all geared up to take Indian mainstream movie industry by storm!
The hot and vivacious dancer has signed in on for a role in upcoming dance movie, Any Body Can Dance (ABCD), the filming for the same has already started.
It’s for the first time that the US dancer will be seen moving her legs with an Indian movie star like Prabhu Deva. The film is in headlines because with it, choreographer-turned-filmmaker Remo D’Souza will make his second foray into movies.
The much-anticipated movie will also mark the return of the South Indian dancer-actor, Prabhu, in Hindi movies. He was last seen in Sapnay way back in 1997.
Nothing has been revealed about the plot of the dance flick except the fact that Gottlieb’s character will be seen as a gifted dancer in pursuit of the some recognition in realm of dancing.
Besides Prabhu Deva, the US hotshot will share screen with rising Indian dancer Salman. I am sure Salman would relish the opportunity to shake his legs opposite SYTYCD finalist.
In case you wish to revisit some of the killer performances by the sizzling dancer then access So You Think You Can Dance episodes online.
During one of her interviews, she revealed her ecstasy for being on the sets of an Indian movie. She didn’t even forget to applaud Salam who came into forefront after winning a coveted Indian dance reality show, a couple of years ago.
Undoubtedly, all her fans back in America as well as the new ones in India will be waiting for ABCD’s release.
I won’t stay away from claiming that Lauren Gottlieb might entice some of the top Indian movie production houses if she pulls off a good show in ABCD.
Well, all the best for that girl!

Nigel Lythgoe contributes towards upsetting real estate prices!
by admin on Jan.18, 2012, under Uncategorized
Real estate dealers across America must be pretty annoyed with Hollywood, by now. I mean some of the stalwarts in the industry have contributed largely towards pulling down real estate prices across the country.
Well, it’s not an accusation, but an attempt to draw your attention to the effect of celebrity real-estate decisions trickling down to the real-estate price level of the nation.
I will let you know the effect from a macro point of view, once I’m done with Lythgoe’s real-estate offer.
One of the executive producers and the brains behind the famous So You Think You Can Dance episodes has quoted 0.36 acres of his personal property at a price as low as $3.95 million at a loss of 43%.
The property, built in 2002 was brought by Nigel in the year 2005 from Henderson’s Monaco subdivision, Nevada for double the amount at $7million.
Appearing unaffected by the tides of market volatility, celebrities like Lythgoe are providing live examples of the plunge in property prices.
For a layman, if Lythgoe can sell a property so cheap, it really goes on to reflect a fall in real-estate prices.
It’s a different story that instead of the market prices, it’s probably an increase of the wealth distributed in Hollywood that could be a reason for such cold-loss decisions.
Nigel’s property appears an irresistible deal with five bedrooms, a golf-course, an artificial lake, vaulted ceilings, 6.75-bath and floors of marble. It is also equipped with two fireplaces, a a private dock and a garage with enough space to park five cars.
Nigel is participating in the sale along with his former wife, Bonnie – a fact that makes my mind think of personal reasons behind this sale. You know there might be Bonnie’s memories attached to the property that Nigel would now want to get rid of anyhow. One doesn’t care about prices in such matters…
Not a rumor, but it’s more of a far-fetched probability.
Nigel Lythgoe Finally Bags His First Emmy This Year!
by admin on Jan.09, 2012, under Uncategorized
In this flashy world of today, talents that remain behind the screens, often lose out on chances of deriving instant appreciation from the masses at large.
I say that, for we are aware of the fact that our eyes are the first amongst all our senses to send signals of appreciation to our brain. We can safely conclude that instant appreciation remains an exclusive pie for the performers – the people we see in front of us.
Probably, they are followed by the sets, the locales, the script, the director, and then, the producer (an enquiry from only a few extra-curious souls). So, a layman’s enquiries and conversations regarding a show might not involve the producer at all. Perhaps, this was the reason behind all these years spent in acknowledging famous executive producer Nigel Lythgoe’s creative brilliance with an Emmy.
I was waiting for an opportunity like this to come out with all the grief that struck me each and every day I sat back to watch So You Think You Can Dance online after every Emmy ceremony for last six years.
Excuse me! I am not magnifying my emotions you know. When you witness so many newcomers walking away home with these valuable Emmy trophies, you really tend to wonder how they miss out on the man who gave birth to reality shows on American television.
American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance are two shows that enjoy the highest download frequencies in the history of US television, both coming largely out of Nigel’s creative mind. Anyway, all’s well that ends well… After losing out on an award for six consecutive years of nominations, Nigel Lythgoe received his first Emmy as the prestigious International Emmy Founders Award this year!
Nigel has been awarded for being a major reality show innovator, and for his commitment to promote dance across the world. Hats off to him!

Here Comes Nigel Lythgoes Much Awaited Emmy Certification!
by admin on Jan.05, 2012, under Uncategorized
Have we ever thought about the man, who’s actually been behind all the glamorous action that we witness regularly on So You Think You Can Dance episodes?

We often forget to recognize and acknowledge the contribution of those silent creators behind the curtains; be it the lyricist, the cameraman or the executive producer, for that matter.
That’s a bit of reality from the showbiz industry, where actors and performers are the faces that go down in public memory.
So You Think You Can Dance is a product, partly out of the brains of Nigel Lythgoe – the man behind shows like The Amazing Race and American Idol.
Now, hear this!
We are all aware of the number of Emmy’s won by performers each and every year, and this executive producer had been nominated without success, six times for American Idol.
The entire Emmy dilemma got him conscious to the extent that he decided to produce the already hit show like The Amazing Race, which has also been awarded with multiple Emmy’s earlier.
He felt, maybe an already Emmy certified show could get him an Emmy, and to be honest, he was correct with his conviction.
The International Emmy Founders Award will be bestowed upon him this year.
So, his work will be recognized and certified with an Emmy for the very first time, and the executive producer is, no wonder, quite happy.
Lythgoe embarked upon a career in the showbiz industry as a professional dance choreographer, back in the UK, before he shifted base to the US, to take up production seriously.
He has never thought much, before accepting new ventures and trying out his skills at it. He is also known for his charity work, that began after he started producing American Idol.
He has set up an NGO called the Dizzy Feet Foundation, to financially help out promising and talented dancers.
Looks like all the good deeds are finally paying off!
SYTYCD Creators Disappoint All Weather Judge Mary Murphy!
by admin on Nov.14, 2011, under Uncategorized
Mary Murphy, as most of us passionate about dance would know, has been a regular judge on Dancing With The Stars.
The show has been an integral part of her life, since the dance platform was introduced in the U.S., as a result of which, the cast and the crew of the show has been like second family to her.

The most important aspect of her being a part of SYTYCD is her belief in the show’s ability to serve a valuable springboard platform for the overflowing dance talent in the U.S.
Mary was overwhelmed with the creators spreading the talent hunt further up to Canada.
And now she finds it difficult to hide her grief, as the creators of the show have decided to pack up the Canada venture without a new fifth season. The talented judge has been praised for her steady and quality-enhancing decisions, and when we watch So You Think You Can Dance online, it becomes quite easy to guess the level of her dedication to the show.
A download could reveal her contribution to the entire talent-filtering process with a tinge of personal touch; but with the news of the show’s Canadian venture coming to an abrupt halt, the judge’s become all gloomy and sad.
Mary feels that a show as successful and as acutely designed (to filter talent) as SYTYCD, was a blessing for the gifted ones in Canada and that the whole treasure of talent there would now remain unexcavated.
Well, we understand and lend our sincere sympathies to Mary’s broken heart, but maybe it was getting a bit too tough on the producers… you know what I mean…
Let’s concentrate on the U.S. dance developments at the moment, and let the ducks with the big bucks decide the rest (for good)!

Simon Soon To Own Music Bug!
by admin on Nov.03, 2011, under Uncategorized
The creator, developer, and executive producer of So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD), Simon Fuller is all set to make it big, musically.
Bug Music, the music publisher at Los Angeles, is already getting bids in the range of $200 to $300 million. Spectrum Equity investors, the private equity firm that owns the publishing house, has BMG music and Ole music amongst its top bidders.
Fuller, now 51, has a number of shows to his name and SYTYCD is certainly one amongst them. He owns the XIX Company, which is valued at around £100million in the industry, and is one of the main sources of funds for his new acquisition.
Now, one could easily ask him the reason behind purchasing a music publishing firm. Well, looks like someone did ask, because we do have the answers.
These music publishers assure stable cash outflows. For example, Ole Music has the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan as part investors. Reasons are aplenty, and it’s up to Simon to decide, which one he gets motivated from, or rather, which one he GOT motivated from.
When we watch So You Think You Can Dance online, it is not difficult to find out Simon’s interest in revenue-generating shows and ventures that can soon turn into the talk of the day amongst the masses at large. Well, download the show and see the reasons behind the increasing popularity of the reality dance series.
Anyway, on Friday, as his sources confirm, Simon will be closing the deal; we are assured that Bug Music would steadily contribute to his earnings, until he weaves more magic into it.
A Step Ahead For a So You Think You Can Dance Fan Favorite!
by admin on Sep.20, 2011, under Uncategorized
From the events around, one can guess that the favorite of the fans is the one who makes it in the end.
Actually it does make a lot of sense.
Any entertainment package, that is produced and directed, is sooner or later served to the audience, which decides if the creators are able to get all the returns on their investment on the package.
So, the favorite of the audience or the masses, would actually be the one, whom the crowds would want to see time and again.
And, that is exactly what is happening with Stephen “tWitch” Boss, a fan favorite in the show So You Think You Can Dance.
People who regularly get for themselves a So You Think You Can Dance download must be aware that tWitch stood second in the 2008 contest and the next year had him performing the Emmy nominated “Mercy”.
In the 2010 season, the actor dished out another Emmy nominated dance performance, “Outta Your Mind”.
And, now the dancer turned actor, is all set to ingeminate his role in Summit Entertainment’s Step Up 3D once again, via Scott Speer’s Step Up 4.
Stephen would be playing the role of Jason in the fourth installment of the dance movie series, which also includes stars like Kathryn McCormick and Ryan Guzman.
It is interesting to see that Boss is the only male dancer, who has had the privilege of being endorsed by Gatorade. So, expecting the dance steps to get tougher and even more invigorating in the upcoming movie, Step up 4, is solidly obvious.
Apart from all that, if you watch closely, you will also realize that Hairspray and Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming also had Boss being featured in them.
Is that enough info for you, for one day?
I hope so!

Tré Armstrong loves life serene and close to the grassroots!
by admin on Sep.12, 2011, under Uncategorized
Having dreamt and lived her life with the sole purpose of becoming a dancer, one who would be symbolized as Canada’s Black Ballerina, Tré Armstrong loves living her life the sub-urban way!
One can watch So You Think you Can Dance online to find the artist at work as one of the permanent judges on the show.
Having devoted her life to dance, Tré has been dancing since she was just five years of age and had her focus on hip-hop, funk and jazz.
The actor who had gone through severe training in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop for 36 years is fond of serenity and likes staying close to her home in the arms of mother Earth.
She loved her three-storied sub-urban residence, which had the Oriental yet retro feel to it.
She loved the Jamaican atmosphere that she recreated in her residence, which also had a room to work out and a dance studio.
She used to live in Parkdale in Toronto before shifting to Mississauga.
She confesses her love for Asian fashion trends and believes they have inspired her for years.
A SYTYCD download brings us close to this judge on the show in action; she was once known to have been mesmerized by the Latino dance forms that she simply found sexy. A short while later, she had become a master of Salsa and Meringue!
For an artist, being close to nature helps preserve the serenity and sanity in their already over-aroused and over-exercised mind.
As they say, it pacifies an artist and helps them realize the very purpose of their existence, while keeping them grounded and close to their commitments to the art form.
Leaving So You Think You Can Dance With Bags Full of Confidence!
by admin on Sep.06, 2011, under Uncategorized
When a competition gets tougher and reaches the highest standards, even the ones, who are not the best are better than millions, who can just dream of getting into the show!
As So You Think You Can Dance episodes suggest, this show is more of a competition to filter out the finest, most original and innovative dancing talent from amongst the best dancers of country.
And Yuliya Zavadska was one such contestant in this show’s Canadian version, who, as a teacher of Ballroom dance in Guelph, had already devoted her life to the art form, much before making her entry into the show.
Recently, a Tuesday night episode of So You Think You Can Dance Canada had her eliminated along with Francois Pruneau.
But the show is such an amalgamation of talent, that she has no regrets leaving the show at this stage. This show has given her enormous amounts of experience, the ability to perceive dance from a different perspective, and an opportunity to test and try styles that she had never thought of before.
In fact, it has probably enabled her to visualize new inroads into the art form that now leaves her with the confidence to plunge into it for a rewarding career.
The two months that she spent with the finest foot tappers from across the country had enabled her to identify and grasp all the qualities needed. And that is exactly what makes her feel like a winner.
Her dance partner, Sharon Levit, has also been a part of the show in the past. And now, this duo would want to make something out of their experience from this show.
Now that’s what we call spirit! Tap on you two!
